If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Looks tasty. Winter is moving right along.

I've set foam aside for  a bit as I'm restocking some favorites. Tied some white stuff.  My favorite is this bunny fly:

Size 2 and 4 streamer hook
Large barbell, tied Clouser style, with glued or painted eyes
Marabou tail
White bunny strip wrapped forward to the eye
finish with either white dubbing or cheniile wrapped around the eye.

Easy tie. Sometimes they just like white

Looking good Bart.

That's really big stuff for me. I rarely tie beyond a #8.....except for carp flies. What are you targeting with them?

These ;D

I like to throw the big stuff.  On the Delaware system, alewives tumble over the Cannonsville Reservoir during high water  springs,  creating a feeding frenzy at times and the alewives are pretty big.

On the other hand, I have a good assortment of small stuff too. Here's one I'm stocking up on now. My Clouser black ghost (in 6@8). I originally tied this for my trips to Maine but it works very well on rivers around here when they don't want the double cheeseburger.  One day this past November, I had several follows from big browns on a large fly. I snipped off the big one before I cast again, tied on the small ghost, and they creamed it on the next cast.

Clouser eye, black floss, silver tinsel, grey and yellow deer hair(stacked), with a little flash.

Sweet looking patterns. Sure wish I lived down your way.

I've had a damselfly nymph pattn rattling around in my head the last few days. So I took a whack at it.

It's getting there.

The top two I tied the abdomins on a needle and transferred them to the hook.

"The horror.......the horror!"

Seems they're back up and running ok. Good thing, I have a ton of photos stored there. It's still stuttering a bit, but they'll fix it I'm sure.

bartman44 have you read bob's book on salt water fly tying? if you have you say the same thing I am about to say is the clouser minnow you tied are up side down? the why is you tied it right lol's... for every one else info  them lead eyes land down and ride hook point up when fished so when you pick colors to do on which side you do the white on top and yellow on bottom of the eyes if you want a lateral line or darker shade on top or vise versa... but nice ties none the less there bartman44!

I wasn't gonna say anything Boon. Many is the time I've tied them wrong side up. But, Bart's no novice. I'm sure it works for him.

Took a break from fly tying to work on my rod building bench.

It's getting there. I have a 10', 6wt to build ;D
