Was up last weekend and launched out of marion manor. Noticed a rock out there barely out of the water marked with a boat bouy. My first thoughts were how many boats have hit it. You die hards know what im talking about.

aj if it's the one I'm thinking it's a tree that the markers are on. Seems like it's been there on and off for years.

The Mrs and I finally made our way up to fish Oneida. Haven't been up since spring time. With a good early start we launched just before sunrise, unusual for us. I had referred to some notes from the previous year, and had a plan. Marked some fish on our way to "the spot", so we tried there with no luck. Back to plan "A". Game on at stop two! Did have to weed through some shorts, but we boxed out before 8 am. Not a single boat around us, love it. Decided to go look for some tackle testing catfish next. Well we struck out in that department, but did catch and release a few older class eyes. With the sun gaining strength we did a cruise and a swim. Great time, always enjoy this lake! Can't wait to get back....

80 F. The fish coming up from around 30' actually felt hot to the touch. Fish cooler is a must now.

Had huge bait clouds on the screen quite often. Mostly mid water column, but had a visual on a large surface school. The sky rats were having breakfast. Couldn't see any kind of thermocline, this lake must have turned?

Kids Fishing Derby. Hi everyone. I feel this is an important event, that needs volunteers. Hopefully it will make a difference, and lead them toward a good path. Please think about participating. Should be fun. Thanks.
