Been out a few times so far to Canadrago lake.  Mostly for perch and gills..  Got the freezer stocked up for a while...

This morning we walked a part of the canal that we usually fish from a boat..  It was pretty strange but you can pinpoint the structure pretty easy now..
 Just tossing topwaters we hammered them for a couple hours.  Even got two good ones on one lure...

Lots of old artifacts around.. Lots of big hand made spikes.  And the parts of an old barge..

Nice gills!  when I was a kid living in New Jersey we fished a canal all the time. It was from the 1800s or so. All kinds of cool stuff around.

Yes Fred it was fun.  And they will taste great...
 The lake had a pretty good green tint to it. I bet by the weekend there will be a big algae boom.   Happened a few years ago and was bad.
