Rairdog, Any size to those crappie on Morse?

Tue I caught over 50 and only kept 7 between 9 and 11 inches.  Today I caught close to 75 but only 2 over 8 inches.  It is still early and the big mommas haven't moved in to the shallows.  Eggs were barely developed in most of the keepers I cleaned.  I'm guessing a late spawn around here again this year.   Last year I caught river fish with eggs during and after the cottonwood bloom into June.  Water temps were well above 60.  Sorry didn't mean to hj this thread

MALE CRAPPIE WILL START MOVING TO THE SHALLOWS IN 50-52 DEG. WATER THE FEMALES WILL FOLLOW IN 56-58 DEG.WATER.

I caught a 3 1/2 lb crappie on a purple speckled tube jig tipped with a beemoth on a bobber. (I ended up mounting it) I thought it was dumb luck fishing that way. First time I ever caught a fish on a jig using a bobber.

This is how I usually rig mine and just cast it out and slowly reel it in.  You wouldn't believe how far those crappies will come up for it!

My favorite color is red/white but sometime it just depends on the day. I have tubes in about every color if they don't like my go to color!

Here is the setup I use, it's pretty basic...

2 weeks ago I was finishin this setup 1ft deep in a channel.  the last week or so I had to deepen up to 4ft under the bobber fishin 8fow with weeds(mainlake)! I like to use the 3/4 ovall clip on bobbers, really sensitive for the light bighters and they seem to give the tube jig better action when jiggin it. The only problem is they do not cast easy like the bubble does.
