Is braddocks best from shore or boat? And would I be able to fish the bay with a 14ft flat bottom?

I like the shore for bullies typically.
In the back bays where they will spawn in the spring, near a small creek if at possible.
Sure, you could fish the bay in that boat as long as it's not a terribly windy day, or the winds are straight out of the north.
The Ponds are also good too for bullhead.

Not sure how you get to the south shore Bob, with all those houses and private property there.
Maybe you refer to the SW corner, near the Pkwy and the exit.
There is a small parking lot there right when you get off onto Long Pond Rd.
There is a path from that lot to the pond.
I walked it maybe 15 years ago in the Fall.
Unsure how muddy it would be in the Spring.

The Pkwy runs SE to NW (or reverse) - not S to N (or reverse)
The pond is SW to NE (or reverse)
Therefore, the south end of the pond is actually in a corner of it.
By the parking lot on Long Pond Rd.
Getting to the Pond from the Pkwy I don't believe is allowed as I believe you cannot park on the Pkwy - now that's funny!!!!
Can't park on a PARKway.   :rotflol: :rotflol: :rotflol:
I have been fishing Braddocks and the ponds since the early 60's, since they put the Pkwy in.
My grandfather's farm was on Lighthouse, off Curtiss, near Braddocks Bay, and the old hotel.
My Aunt and cousin still lives on Maul.
Hunted a lot of pheasant all around that area back in the 60's through the 90's.
Deer too.
Lighthouse does run N to S however.

My geography lesson for the day.

However, when I fish either Long or Cranberry, I park and fish along the guardrail on Edgemere.
Also, it's typically for perch, not bullies.

Silver Lake has tons of bullhead in it.
That any closer?
They have an annual bullhead derby or festival if I remember too.
Or at least did have one.

4 mile creek park near the mouth of the Niagara is awesome in the spring for bullies too.
Not sure if that is too far.
My late friend Scotty (fishryc here) and I used to fish there right after ice out in March and slay them.

Guess I don’t know anything. Oh well.
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
