Why is my suggestion of the gas price app not helpful or in any way "downing" your thread?  I am simply offering another source for current gas prices.  Its no wonder this place is a ghost town if you are going to attack everyone for posting something.

glad to see it has dropped, a lot!
this year has been down to 2$ and is only 2.25@ right now.
a barrel of crude (which we can not buy) is down to 48$

i will be boating more this year for sure!!

My point was to illustrate the extra $0.25-30 in NYS taxes.

our gas tax's are 3rd highest in nation i read a while ago.
i know the feds were trying to hit it with a higher tax. maybe thats why it went up 35 cents in one day.
