Seneca Lake Lampreys
« on: Apr 02, 2005, 10:32 AM »
Has anyone noticed the increase in lampreys on Seneca. Collected a dozen for my local highschool bio teacher during my last 2 outings. Had a laker with 3 of those suckers on it.

The dec treated the keuka lake outlet last fall. This spring Catharine creek is on the list to be treated. Last year I notice an increase in the lamprey myself. I killed about 75 of them. We will always have them. We just have to control them. The dec has done an excellent job controlling them. every 3 yrs they treat the areas I mentioned.
