Applications due here shortly, I almost forgot.  Woodchip PM me the info I need to have you as a sub. Zones and dates. Phone number would be a good thing to have also. I'm also going to need room for my wife where ever we are staying. She said I'm not going hunting without her.

Don't forget the 70 and older rule change from last year. If someone has never been drawn and they turn 70 they will get a permit.

PLEASE NOTE: Moose permits to resident applicants over 70
A recent law guarantees a moose permit to any resident applicant who turns 70 or older during the calendar year of the hunt, who also has at least 30 points in the lottery system. Be sure to submit your application prior to the deadline and indicate all the seasons and WMD’s where you are interested in getting a permit.

Just a reminder on this one... They need to have applied at least 15 years (30 points) consecutively to be eligible for this.

I believe you mean 9 is the other side of the Golden rd. 5 is the other side of the Telos Lake and North of Baxter. I've seen people put down the wrong zones before and end up getting picked somewhere they didn't want, just don't want 44 to get messed up.

I would be more worried about the decline in the wood products industries then how many permits IFW give out.  The pulp and paper industry was/is the biggest factor in Maine's moose population.  2100 permits is nothing.
