Algae bloom wheatland 3
« on: Sep 02, 2018, 11:52 AM »
I just read today that wheatland 3, and possibly wheatland 1 and 2, have an algae bloom. They were kind of ambiguous about if its dangerous to eat the fish. Should i be worried about eating those fish? is the algae bloom going to kill any of the fish population?

I think it's ok to eat filleted fish just do it away from the lake and use fresh water to rinse. The algae makes you feel like the flue and acts like an allergy. I don't swim anymore when the "pea soup" forms. Most lakes get it this time of year. A big wind breaks it up and mixes the water.I've eaten a lot for fish caught around the pea soup with no affect. I always clean where I have fresh water to rinse.
