If you’re thinking about a trip up here hopefully this video helps! The gorge is just starting to get into that spring mode!

Yea I did! I was down on 4/19-4/21. It was far from fast and furious for me as it was my first go at the place. I’d like to make it a yearly thing by maybe go a bit later. Seemed like everything was transitioning and it made it tough for me to find fish! Did find one spot where stripers would come through pretty regularly. Had I sat there and bait fished the whole time I could’ve boated more stripers but I kept thinking there were greener pastures!

We were there April 25-28.  We had good fishing, but it was getting a bit too muddy up where we like to fish by the time we left.  Still ended up with 20 pounds of Striper filets and 10 pounds of walleye filets!!!

I don't think you went too early.  Personally, it gets too busy for me later than the end of April.  It is a big and intimidating lake, send me a PM if you go again, I may be able to give some tips.  My main one is don't have a rigid schedule. Keep your plans loose, and go when the weather is warming in late March or April and fish the stained water!!!

Will do. The other thing I need to do is bring fuel on the boat go make runs up north. Only 15 gal tank on my boat and I was too nervous to embark on a journey.
