Title: Double Digit Day
Post by: bogtrotter on Oct 12, 2019, 05:09 PM
I fished Hudson Brook and the North Hoosic in North Adams today from 2:10 to 5:15 PM today.

It was partly sunny and mild (low 60's).  Water levels were low.

I started on Hudson Brook in the Natural Marble Bridge State Park and caught two (one fat 7" and one skinny 8") brookie.

I headed downstream to the North Hoosic, starting at the NMBSP and proceeding further down from there.

I caught a 12" brown below the bridge across the street from the Beaver Mill Apartments, then went back to my car and drove further down to the roll dam.

I teetered precariously on the roll dam itself and caught a 12" and a 14" brown and a 16" rainbow.

Getting back off the roll dam, I waded downstream toward Old Glory Rock, and caught an 11" brown (trailed by a second one of the same size swimming alongside it trying to snatch away the bait - - which had worked its way up off the hook and along the line - - so that at first I thought I was seing double)  and  eight more rainbows (ranging from 12" to 15") along the way.

Great work Jim.  That's a banner day.
