I'm looking at a Meyers 10 ft jon boat Explorer model. I want to use this where I cannot back my trailer into local ponds. Looks to be in pretty good shape and will fit into the back of my pick up for quick solo trips also. Any pros or cons will be helpful for this model.

Thanks,
Don

They seem to be to narrow, shallow and short for me ,a 12ft would be a better choice and still lite enough to handle.Just my 2 cents.BB

Mine is a 12 ft meyers. They are a nice boat. I have no experience with the 10 footer but it should be great for the purpose you wish to use it.

I had a 10' john boat, and fished with it for 3-4 years. It was great on calm water, but any sizeable waves made it a pretty scary trip. id suggest the 12' for a little more stabilty.

I'm in the market as well and I'm leaning towards a 12ft model!
