Got the yak wet

Finally got the kayak in the water today.  Got some really nice gills.  Fat ones with some measuring 10".  Beautiful day to be on the water.

Southern IN, limited fishing days public waters.  They pulled a 12" redear out of there this summer.  Has some real pigs in it.  I didn't get many but I didn't catch a gill under 9"!

Nice job RoeBoat.  Gotta love that southern Ind fishing  Wife and I were down there two weeks ago.  Got a lot of nice 8 - 9" red ears and gills on one lake.  switched to another lake one day and got into the 10- 11" red ears and gills.   Buddies were at The Shack same time and they got into those pig red ears.   Not many gills on their trip.  They said everybody was getting the ears.  By the way My buddy got a 12" red ear in a lake in K Co this past summer.  Doing good on crappie in the local ponds this year.

Nice fish there RoeBoat! Wife and I went up to the cabin(MI) to winterize the place and shut it up for the season! I looked at the Little Man but it was really high and had been higher from the looks of the banks. Saw a couple small browns holding behind an old salmon bed but that was about it. Salmon looked over in there and only saw a few beds overall. I didn't even fish we saw the rain coming so we beat feet for home. Later Hex
