I have Glencairn glasses. Love them for bourbon.
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

I saw that glass I posted on Amazon a year or more back and thought of you.
Was going to post it here for you but I forgot.
Then yesterday, you sparked my (alleged) memory and went looking for it.
Couldn't find it on Amazon but found that one on ebay.

BTW, 17cl is about 5.75 oz.
So, it's a "wee" bit more than a "wee dram".
Still a beautiful glass.

The latest RBS
https://youtube.com/shorts/-sr8-oKSysk?feature=share

Time to start the next one. I need another the same size to make my wall symmetrical. The back plate is a teak round. Looks kind of nice I think. That’ll be the only thing that I’ll duplicate.

The headboard for bed I'm making for my son and daughter in law.  She loved the way the chevron turned out

Very nice. A wonderful gift to pass on.

I made his one for my Bride and I……more years ago than I remember. Think it was in the 80’s. Teak  and rock maple.

The  bed frame is  also rock maple with teak bands.

No wood shop in school for me. I’m pretty much self taught. I started doing remodeling some 50 years ago. Carpentry lead to cabinet making which lead to wood turning. My little wood shop is my retirement place in the winter months. I’m always thinking up new crazy things to build. Most of them work out.

I’m never bored. My home is filled with stuff I’ve made. Sometimes I just look around and smile.

Right now I’m working on another RBS as a mate to the last one I built. It’ll give the living room wall symmetry. For some unknown reason that’s important to me.

I guess. It’s a gift and a curse…as “Monk” would say.

I sent the Super at the golf courses video of the last RBS. He raved about it. Asked me how much I’d charge to make him one. I decided the one I’m working on is gonna be his. I’ve never given one of these away, or sold one. They’ve always been for my personal enjoyment. But he’s a different sort. A really nice guy who appreciates stuff…..all kinds of stuff.

I’ll be happy to give him one to play with. Give being the operative word. I couldn’t think of charging him anything.

I’m a couple levels done. I’ll post some pics as it progresses.
