The water has to get warm soon with the weather we're getting. Just wait, in a couple weeks the local news will complain about the heat after one of the coldest winters on record.  ::)

once it breaks the 60's They will become more active, 57 is still in spawning mod. I got a Question How many rods can a person have in the water? boat or land
If it was easy they would have called it catchin, not fishin

I had roughly 60 at Keeney at 6:30 this morning. My window to catch pike is closing, especially with this week's forecast.

I think the water temps in the river will stay low for a couple more weeks. Reports are that water coming down from MA is still low 50's.

I hope so. I have the opportunity to get out in my yak this coming Saturday. I just need to choose which cove on the river to fish.

Keeney was definitely waking up this past Saturday. In the short time I was there casting from shore, I caught one Larry, saw a bunch more, some good sized, and also spotted a pickerel and some herring. There was a lot of activity in the shallow, flooded sections.

Two rods if fishing trout management waters.  Three rods all other areas.

Yeah, trolling three rods for walter. Two worm spinners and a rapala should make a nice rats nest when they tangle. ;D

thank for the info. What happens if i catch a keeper walleye on all three rods?   Bring beer batter and cook on shore, that's why they call it shore lunch
If it was easy they would have called it catchin, not fishin

If it was easy they would have called it catchin, not fishin

And don't forget the ticket for one too many walters. Expensive lunch while you clear the tangle.
