Decided to fish some trouts with spinning rod instead of fly rod this morning. Arrived at the Cranberry Pond with my buddy around noon. Only one old timer was fishing at the shore when we arrived.
I was using powerbait (cheating nuggets
) and believed that the fish should be cruising in shallower area. So I cast away and thought of going back to my car to finish the coffee. The action was fast, and unexpected. Five seconds after my first cast, the rod started bending. I picked it up and one decent size rainbow was hooked. It was a very productive day that I got six rainbows and one brown. All of the fish was caught on powerbait within two hours and a half. My buddy did not have any luck... This is the first time I catch a brown trout in this lake. Very surprising.
Anyways, some decent sized trout made the day. And here are some pictures.
