Title: Finally Caught Some on the West Housatonic
Post by: bogtrotter on May 23, 2021, 02:45 PM
I drove down to Pittsfield and fished the West Housatonic from 12 noon to 2:45 PM today.

The weather was mostly cloudy and about 75 degrees.  Water levels were on the low side.

I started by Hungerford Street, and caught one 10" rainbow (plus a small dace) below the bridge just upstream from the Iron Man machine shop.

Then I tried under the bridge where Hungerford meets West Housatonic Street, and landed a few sunfish.

After heading back to the car, I drove to the Greendale bridge, and reeled in another small sunfish.  and a dace

Wading down stream, I caught another 10" rainbow where the stream doglegs back to West Housatonic Street, and then a 12" one just past the green metal footbridge.

It was just starting to sprinkle as I finished up, walked back to my car and drove home
