Title: The Weather Was Chilly but the Fishing Was on Fire
Post by: bogtrotter on May 29, 2021, 05:41 PM
I got out on the South Hoosic in Adams for 45 minutes earlier this afternoon.

It was cold (43 degrees) and raining (which, admittedly, we desperately needed), and the water levels were a bit on the high side, but the fishing was good.

I started across from Mullen Mayflower and fished waded/hiked downstream to the footbridge a little below the Burnett Bednarz bridge.

Thankfully, the fish cooperated - - I landed two rainbows (one 14" and one 16") across from Mullen Mayflower, another (14") rainbow underneath the Burnett Bednarz bridge and a final (15") one just above the footbridge.

Oh yeah, and as I was walking along the shore toward the footbridge, a mink scrambled down the bank and ran into the stream before me.

Still too chilly for Memorial Day weekend, though.

Nice going, the weather has been a roller coaster ride this spring.

Nice work Jim, that sounds like the action you are used to there.
