Trip to the Ledge

Took the long steam out to Jeffery's Ledge today.

It was non-stop action. We caught over 50 cod. All on jigs.

Nice haul guys!
It’s not being Cocky if you can back it up.

Kenny was nice enough to send a pic and short note, as you guys finished up. Somehow, I missed the invite to join ya though.  ;D I'm starting to think he's having fun rubbing it in - me at work... him catching nice fish.  ;)
Good to hear you guys are getting into them.
Fish on!!

Forgot to ask...
How do you like the sabiki "de-hooker"? Last time out, I was having a rough day, and I took a few sabiki hooks to the fingers and hands and was thinking I better get one of those things (or make one). But, I was a bit skeptical that they may not work as well as advertised. Now that I see you guys have one on the boat, I'm thinking they must actually work?? Must be a bit quicker unloading a rig full of macks that way too, huh?

Hi Craig!
I too had my doubts.
pros....you don't get tiny scales and slim, and sometimes mack sperm all over your rod and clothing'
your not squeezing the macks so they stay alive better

cons.... it takes some time getting used to, i would cut my sabiki down to 3 hooks, it is still dangerous!!!!

I say get one!!!

Thanks. Good point about not having to squeeze the lil fellas. I'll get one and give it a run.
Fish on!!
