Yup, just joshing, but it is my first time at Moosehead and the first time I've ever tried trolling for them, my first goal was a brookie, second goal is a 5 pound brookie.

I'll be here for another week and I'm learnimg my way around the lake so we'll see.

Exactly! My reputation preceeds me but not even that!

Arrived in Rockwood at 1pm Thurs, fished that afternoon, the next day from 7 to 7, Fri 5:30am to 9pm, Saturday the same dodging storms north of Farm Island in the evening and then Sunday until 2pm when we loaded up. Not a single brookie despite that as a target! We managed 7 togue and 3 salmon, all of the togue legal but none impressive and one of the salmon was legal at 17" and 2-1/2 lbs. I don't know if the heat screwed me up or the fish- maybe both, but it was a long, slow, hot and humiliating long weekend of trolling for me anyway! No pics because nothing impressive came over the stern and I'm bad at taking enough pictures. Still loved it.

Where did you stay in Rockwood?

I've been here for a week, got around 80 lakers, 4 legalish salmon and 4 small brookies, like you nothing really picture worthy,, biggest togue was 26".

I'll be here for another week mostly going after the brookies, hopefully I'll get something picture worthy.

At a cabin with a dock on the Moose River I found on AirBnB called the Pink Lady. If you've driven that way to Rockwood you've seen it. Cheap and clean but the 25 minute steam downriver to the lake every morning is kinda a bummer.

Our biggest laker was probably 22".
