Moosehead
« on: Jun 27, 2020, 07:50 AM »
so its been 20 years since I fished Moosehead open water fishing.   Came up for a family weekend, and went where I used to go as a kid.  Trolling db smells and mooselooks.   Silver and blue seemed to work the best.  La did 2 salmon last night by myself, and my daughter joined me this morning.  Landed a smallmouth,  15" tongue and she got her first legal salmon out of Moosehead.  Frying them up for breakfast.  I'll  post pics later, but a clutch of ducklings has started to hatch (cheeping started last night) so pretty cool

So went out after dinner.  15 minutes into trolling this hits.  2.42lbs and put up a really good fight.  10 minutes later my kicker motor dies, that just had the carburetor replaced.  Not a ripple after 6:30

Still a great day on the water

Nice brookie and good for you getting your daughter out on the water!! I've been on MHL for the last 2 weeks and the weather has been spectacular the entire time, we went be kineo a couple times and probably went right by you from the looks of the picture.

Nice job! Hopefully you can get back out there before you have to head home.
