Out of the hospital

Hi guys,
I just beat the odds and i am now home and don't miss the hospital food.
I came down with pneumonia, listeria and cardiac issues. After 7 days of poking and prodding, great doctors and nurses, my wife is now my support system.
While in the hospital, my room mate was also an older guy and was an avid fisherman, hunter and trapper so it gave us both an opportunity to share our tall tales and boy did we have some fun with that.
I remain on a home IV and can't drive yet, i am getting better every day,
My wife takes me to doctors appointment 3 times a week
I plan on fishing again in the spring and during my down time I will enjoy reading all the posts on this great site

Over the "hump" John.
Awesome!
Get better and then get back out for some badly needed fishing.
Good luck partner.

Get healthy John and keep looking forward to next spring.

Glad you’re on the mend John. Wish you a speedy recovery.
My wonderful Bride went through a bout of pneumonia back in March. Very scary. She’s way better now. You will be too.

Another update
I was back in the Hospital again from the 11th until yesterday afternoon. This time it was internal bleeding caused by upper GI ulcers they found via endoscopy and they had to give me a couple of transfusions.
I also had some bad kidney numbers and they brought that back to normal.
Now on to doctor visits and routine lab tests,
My fishing plans are late april 2024 and i plan on spanking them.

You haven't missed anything John, it's been a terrible summer for fishing. Rain every dang weekend. Same is looking to happen this weekend! And I was planning on spending the day on the saltwater.
