Well here are three pictures from days gone by.    About this time last year, a buddy took me down to his hybrid hotspot and put me on a few nice ones.     I have three pictures, but caught four.    He said it was real slow too, Ive seen his pictures from nights where he has caught 25 + of these drag pulling tackle busting bad boys.     :flex:

Fishing here has been slow latly, but should pick up as the aelwives come on the spawn a bit stronger.      Went out for catfish 4 nights last week and only caught two on thursday night and last a walleye off of a plug.      Couldnt stay out too late or go too early though, work's been keepoing me real busy latly.

I never see many of those, neat looking fish. Do they fight good or taste good?

Both  ;D

They fight amazing on medium to heavey tackle.     Drag screaming rod bending, tackle busting fun.
they taste really good too, sort of similar to regular striper meat.

Awsome,   hope you two have a good weekend weatherwise, although the past indicates towards bad weather  :D
I'll probably head out in my canoe sometime this weekend (if I cant sweet talk my way into a trip to the lake in tenn.), and if I get everything un-packed by then into the new appartment.       The aelwives are getting on the spawn so hopefully the walleye will be up and after them.

I'm not sure of Where it is, but Smith Mountain lake has them in it I think.      I'll tell you though that they wont be as fat or bulky, VA doenst quite have the forage that the Tenn. fish have.    A lot of VA lakes a 5 or 6 pounder is a good fish, in tenn its a small one.

Well I made it back North to New York for a little fishing for a week after the 4th of July on the St Lawrence and the fishing was incredible.       I ended up with 23 pike (12 of which were caught in one day) 3 walleye (one was a personal best)
Fishing for pike was the best since my paents bought the camp a few years back.     Teh  current was swift making it hard to fish for the walleyes.      All three walleye were surprises when I was casting for pike.

She was 31 and a half inches weighing in at 8.7 pounds
I'm back north again for some fishing and a buddies wedding, hopefully Ill have som emore pictures to post after this trip.

hope so too,   here are a few more pics from the last trip

A bass, pike and maybe another walleye,   looks like that one pike was almost breakfast for a bigger one (or a musky)

Don't use your sick days when you are sick use them when the fish are biting. It all looks the same on your time card
