YupPlanted 3 weeks agoPlayed heck covering plants these last 2 cold spells.2 beefsteak tomato plants look a little ruff but might make it.Wife is gonna pull them and plant 2 new ones if they don't look better by the weekend.Raised bed12 x 24 footUsed 2 x 10'sI got a picture over on FBIf I get up the energy I'll copy/past to photobucket and get a pic of it here.
Got planted last weekend, I'll add some pics later but we took a year off due to pests and blight. After some research we decided to do a big burn right over the garden and till in the ashes, along with some Manure and Humus. 90 % planted just have to get some Zuchinni and the peas&beans in. Also Mom got me a new Cherry tree to replace the one the Jap. Beetles killed on me last summer. Don't worry, I chipped up the wood and smoked a nice free range Turkey
Hell of a crop of buckets there Mac. Looks to be a couple heirloom varieties mixed in Rg
Yup Bob.In spite of the effort, she still lost 1 tomato and 1 pepper plant.Mac
For me - it's not worth the time, $ and the effort. But she enjoys it.I would rather go to the farmer's market and buy what I want, when I want it.Happy wife......happy life.
