My buddy is stopping by with the new blower motor about noon or so.
It's 71 in here now.
My gas fireplace in the basement and the electric spaceheater are doing a good job.

18 and light flurries here right now.
We got about 3" or so.
I went out earlier and shoveled things and got a little excercise.
Of course the plow caqme thru right after I finished.

I’m gonna throw rocks at the new guy from the town that’s plowing our cul-de-sac. He circles backwards from any town plow that’s ever done our street in the last 12 years. Instead of pulling the snow away from the driveways and into the center, he plows all the snow right into our driveways.

Sent an email to the mayor....no response. Not an election year yet. One more time and I’m headed to the town hall.

Furnace acted up again.
Different problem.
Inlet PVC combustion air breather tube was plugged with ice crystals.
I pulled it, thawed it, and now it's drying out.
Furnace is now pulling air directly from the basement instead of outside but I cracked open a window down there right next to the furnace, so technically it's drawing outside air.
I'll reinstall the pipe later today after she is totally dry.
I had this happen a couple years back so I knew exactly what caused things today.
The inlet and the outlet are too close to each other outside.
The outlet spews moisture created from the combustion in the furnace and the inlet draws this moisture into it and during extended single digit temps the moisture freezes and builds up closing off the pipe.
I need to move them appart.
I have some extra 2" PVC I can use.
Good job for this weekend.
