I think at the very least people with injuries (doctors note) and older people should be able to use crossbows throughout the entire archery season.

And you are correct Trapper. NY Bowhunters are the ones in opposition to crossbows

Got my tags last week. I’m a lifer as of last March.

Don’t know if I’ll use them. Haven’t hunted anything in a long time. But, I have the option.

Rg

Go out there and get some meat. There is no shortage of deer. The DEC can’t come close to filling the quota.

All the plots are coming along nice.  Turks ate enjoying themselves. Got a nice storm last night. Lot of does with single fawns.

The turkeys are doing great with this dry summer. I am seeing a lot of poults.

Red oaks seem to be dropping a few acorns. Not seeing any on the whites. Apple trees are so-so.  After a huge year last year, seems some trees have a few on them this year. Few falling already.  All wild.

The oak in my yard has no acorns. Last year it was a bumper crop, same up it the hills. I see more deer when they have to browse more and I have to climb less...h2l

I have to get the trail cams out hopefully this week but have seen 5 shooter bucks on one farm I hunt. The swamp I hunt the big buck I never got a shot at last year is still wandering around have seen him a few times plus 4 or 5 doe I would shoot. Haven't been to the other to properties but the guys I hunt with have been to one of them for turkey this spring and saw alot of deer. The other property that my buddies 87 year old dad  and still hunting has seen alot of bucks. Should be a good year guys

We’re getting mail every two days right now. No reason for it.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
