Title: Walking stick
Post by: Raquettedacker on Oct 08, 2021, 01:19 PM: Giant walking stick bug in the gas cap cover of my truck this morning.. Second one I seen this year but this one is twice as big as the first one I see..

Saw a 2’ (at least) diameter snapping turtle this morning on the course. Didn’t have time to get pics. We were all rushing. In tournament today.

Post by: rgfixit on Oct 09, 2021, 08:21 AM: I usually buy 3 or 4 pumpkins after Halloween. I leave them in the leaf pile and the deer dig them up during the winter. Gives them something other than our bird feeders to munch on.

Just started feeding the birds last week and there are a lot of hungry squirrels out there. Need to get the air rifle out and put some in the freezer.. ;D

Post by: rgfixit on Oct 09, 2021, 06:30 PM: Broke out my bird feeders today. Gave them a good scrape and hit them with some rust converter. I’ll give them a new coat of paint tomorrow.

Put the bluebird feeder out yesterday after seeing 3 of them for the first time. Downeys have been snooping around for a free meal too.

I mixed some red pepper flakes with the seed. The squirrels didn’t like it. Birds didn’t mind a bit.

That’s cool. Haven’t seen one in a couple years.. Used to find there egg cacoons and hatch the babies..
