BLUE CHEER
« on: Sep 19, 2006, 05:26 PM »
Anyone listen to this 1960's 3-man-band??
I never hears of them until one of my posts on a pop culture website that I replied to (thread was called "Hardest Rocking Band of the 60's"). My response, was, of course, Iggy Pop and Stooges and MC5.
Anyway, these guys were also suggested to be a candidate. Know what?

                                   THEY ROCK!!

The LP I bought on a whim based on this guy's post is called Blue Cheer "Vincebus Eruptum" from 1968.

Highly recommended to anyone into early psychedelia and a band that was definitely ahead of their time, and a predecessor of "Alternative", which they most certainly must have been in 1968...............

Just curious.

They don't bother you if you're going 80.

Try putting one in an older model microwave.  Seriously, it's awesome, as long as the microwave contains the shrapnel.  :thumbup_smilie:

I've heard them ,S. They definitely rock and fit your "minimalist" taste in music.
I'll have to listen to your disc...
