Well tried a couple spots on the north shore , without a hit , didn’t see any fish or bait , and went to a third spot but the water was so low I couldn’t cast so it’s a big fat skunk for me 😬 all in all 1 of the best years I’ve ever had fishing Oneida , so no complaints from this ol buzzard
So it’s time to start thinking about icing some perch 🎣

I agree Fred. It has been a great year.

Those water temps should be dropping good too.

I am hoping to get the boat out one more time if the weather cooperates.

I also tried to take advantage of the warm weather/south wind coming in to the North shore last night.  Thought conditions were perfect for some falleyes.  Skunk sandwiches for dinner tonight. Not even a hit for me either. The lake level definately dropped some since my last trip. I’ll prob give it another shot in a few days if weather cooperates.

Hey there, gentlemen.

I was out in the snow storm the other night and got the ol' skunk too. Was hoping for one of those miserable nights when you can't feel your face or fingers but keep hauling eyes in anyway. Didn't happen.

I want to get the boat out one more time too. Planned to hit the SLR but winds up there aren't cooperating so it might be on Oneida. I'll probably launch east on Saturday. I don't trust Godfrey with the water this low.

Good luck if you get those boats out
I took my father last night 7-9 but we skunked, I grabbed a late dinner and gave some more fishing a shot, I was determined.

My 4 top spots produced nothing, and not a glint of an eye to be seem.  Then like a switch they turned on, ~2am just as I was heading home.

Super slow twitch /pause retrieve on a little Tstick   Jr.  Caught 3 in 30 minutes, as many short strikes  C/Red them this time.
Heading back out tonight hoping for a few more.

It has been a good season, thankful for that, Happy Thanksgiving all.

Got the boat out yesterday and it was beautiful once the rain moved thru. Nothing seemed to bother the fish though. Steady eyes and perch all day. Good enough to make me want to do it again if the weather permits.

Although I'd be even happier to wake up to an iced over lake. Water was around 40

Congratulations,
If I can ask Chowdaire, how deep are you finding them and what time of day?
We may take the boat out this week, and I will admit my ignorance.  I am typically a shore angler this time of year.

Managed a few more a couple days ago small stick baits on the surface from shore, with my brother grabbing his personal best.
Still having fun with them, but the shore bite and retrieve speed, seem to be slowing dramatically as the water temp drops.
Thanks in advance,

Nice to see you too, Bruce. After wasting the first hour or so shallow it only took a few minutes to limit once we hit 20fow. Definitely lucked out with the right drift. We got on a bunch of perch after you left too. Could have loaded the cooler if I felt like cleaning them but instead just took 5 for a nice meal.

Work won't let me get back out this week but maybe they'll be a window over the weekend.

Fish were deep, 20+
