Just caught up on some reading. Way to stay after them guys! Deep water blade bite has been on fire to say the least. Back after them again tomorrow.

Guys don't forget that it is the law to wear a life vest (PFD) this time of year if you are on a boat under 21'. I saw very few people wearing vests on my last trip...

Hit the lake this morning. NE wind this morning shifted straight east before the southerly breeze kicked in. Fishing was slower than it has been. Only landed a dozen maybe. 2 shorts and the rest were 16-19”. Found most fish in 32 ft. Water temp still at 39.5*

I saw you out there today Hornet. You are brave in that kayak!

Another good morning on the water.

Finally noticed the eyes coughing up gobies for the FIRST TIME.

I had trouble finding cooperative fish this morning and ended up with 1 short and 1 keeper along with a very nice smallmouth.  All fish came on a jigging rap tipped with a plastic and not a hit on the blade which was a surprise.  I am assuming they moved out deeper but didn't want to venture further out than 22 fow with that SE wind in my face heading back in.  It was nice to get another shot at em though before ice hits (hopefully)

I was pretty bummed to see the public access is closed off at Lewis Pt so I couldn't launch there. Does this mean no ice fishing there either this season?

Fished this morning. Landed 20 or so. Water temp isn’t budging much. Nice day for December!
