Cleaned a few creek eyes this week and every one was a male. Several were 20-21" long, some big males.

The male walleyes in creeks during spawning season remind me of men in a bar looking for a women.  First ones to show up and last ones to leave.

True but I’m used to 15-16” males late spawn in creeks. These were toads.

I agree that 20-21 inch male hogs you caught recently are much larger than the 15-19 inch males  that may remain in the creeks until walleye opener.   I'm envious.

I use a Hewitt Roll-a-dock - simple and easy to install and remove - go for it.  Mine came with the camp and had the cedar planks that eventually rotted and i replaced with aluminum.  Will last till I'm dead and buried.

That water is starting to rise again. Luckily there are several nights below freezing coming up. Hopefully that slows down the runoff.

If I can’t get on that ice I want it gone!

According to the graph from reading at Cleveland, the level will be dead on the “minimum target level” for April first.  Looks like they update that ever Thursday..  Highs of 35 to 45 and lows of 23 to 29 all next week will give it a slow runn off. Fish Creek at Taburg rose a couple ft over night and Oneida creek at Oneida Castle jumped 5 ft in 10 hrs . After today they should drop with the freezing temps overnight..

Ice is really piling up on Lewis Point but man is there still a lot of ice out there. Starting to pile up about a mile off the beach. Tons of debris will be out there at ice out. Think it's going to be awhile on east end.

It’s definitely going to be a late ice out and a late walleye run.
