This is the third clutch this year. The first two were duds. Could be a different pair. Its too hard for me to tell them apart.

Day 9 pics of the hatchlings.



Pin feathers all around!

Mom and Dad have been really busy feeding the kids. Trips average about 4 minutes.

I can take pics for another 4 days at most then have to stop or run the risk of forcing early fledging.


Next year it's gonna be a nest cam!

The bluebirds have fledged and are out there in the big old world. We wish them well.

A successful hatching of 2 this time. Now we wait for next nesting season.

The little bluebirds hung around for quite a while this fall. We'd see them in the back yard occasionally with mom and dad. They looked healthy and well fed.

Long gone now. Hopefully we'll see them in the spring.
