Picked up a bottle of Ezra Brooks 12 yr. old a couple weeks ago on the clearance shelf at a NH liquor store. 101 proof.  Not bad.

I've had the 1783 small batch but not the single barrel... gotta try it some day... but Pappy being over rated? maybe a bit over priced... or hard to find, but over rated..... I couldn't tell ya cuz I've never had the pleasure. But I would like to

Ezra Brooks. I have a bottle of the black label. I've tried the Old Ezra, but not the single barrel. Ezra is made By Heaven Hill. Heaven Hill makes or markets several good whiskeys including Evan Williams and Elijah Craig.

Pappy is not overrated in my opinion, just over priced but thats what happens with that type of production. I was lucky enough to try the 15 year family reserve as well as the 20 year family reserve... both top notch.
