MC pier surprise
« on: Dec 07, 2017, 07:02 AM »
I know that a lot of people fish the pier at Michigan City for perch, salmon, trout, and whitefish but on Monday I saw a really nice walleye come off the pier. Person was using a spoon and not trying for walleye. Nice surprise.  I know the InDNR has been netting walleye in the area for some years now but this is the first I have seen caught.

I have mounted several walleyes up to 12 pounds caught casting off the shore using crank baits this time of year in that area. At least that is where I was told they were caught.
