mail order leeches
« on: Apr 07, 2018, 11:33 AM »
:) Good morning all. I know it's early but was wondering what bait company folks in this neck of the woods have the best luck with in regards to leeches. Closest place to me for retail is Glendo and that's 70 miles so I'm thinking on line might be a better option. Thanks.

Many thanks boondox! I'll give 'em a call Monday. They seem a bit pricey but hey, probably cheaper than 140 miles of fuel in a tonner. And something can be said for first guy at the 'Ol Wally Hole with a bucket of leeches too I think! :clapping:

Some good stuff on youtube on trapping leeches. I'm going to give it a try here shortly. Looks easy.

:-\ Hmmm..... After d**n near 30 years as an RN not much makes me squeamish. But if I'm trappin leeches outta the lake I'm swimming in.....well..I just don't know. I know. They aren't the "blood suckin" kind but...well..I have tried the fish carcass parts in a bean can with the end smashed down at Hawk Springs a couple years ago during a camping trip. Didn't catch any and that re-assured the grand kids ;D:clapping:
