Duke of Fluke
« on: Jul 02, 2018, 10:57 AM »
Another successful trip out on the water with my old man and a buddy who is a professional photographer. Limits of Fluke and Seabass. We did have to work for them and though we caught our fish, 90% of the boats were fish-less. Glad we got many of our fish away from the crowds. #workhardformyspots.

The top pic is from my phone and shows the 8 and 7lber.

These are from my buddy - GREAT PHOTOS!

Thanks guys but I need that 15lber.

If you want meat I have a freezer full, come get some. I just need that "car hood" fluke.

Just give me time and I will get that next world record. 24.3lbs is the current.

It was nice to see how FAT these fluke all were. Had a few last week that should have been 7-8lbers but only registered over 5lbs because they were so thin. Thats the name of the game though. My largest was 31" 13.45lbs but I also had another at 31" that was only just over 11lbs.

What species of fluke/flounder/flatfish are these? I am only familiar with the smaller ones (winter and summer), and I am having the hardest time finding which species gets that big other than halibut?

They are the same fluke/summer flounder you'll get in southern NH and the record is over 24 pounds. Same species
