My office let my co-workers and I out of work a little bit early today due to the long weekend.
As a result, I was able to make up for my non-performance on the North Hoosic last weekend, and got out on it for a little over a half hour late this afternoon.
Sunny, blue skies, 70 degrees. Water was still on the high side, fast and turbid, but not ridiculously so like last weekend.
I fished below the entrance to the Natural Marble Bridge State Park and below the Eclipse Mill dam.
There was nothing below the NMBSP entrance, but I did catch a 12" brown beneath the Eclipse Mill dam and a 14" rainbow a little further downstream.
They both fought pretty well too, although the strong current certainly helped.
