2013 Mr. Pike Classic on Seeley and Salmon Lakes
« on: Jun 03, 2013, 08:05 AM »
Just a reminder it is coming up this weekend. You can still register up till Friday night at the Moose River Bar and Grill. I did a little scouting this last weekend and found lots of cold high water. It looks like another challenging year for the tournament but as always a good excuse to fish hard for a couple of days. Good luck to all those who attend.   :)

$400 cash and a box of tackle worth at least couple hundred bucks.

I might have to give it a go then next year. I figure if I am going to be pike fishing anyway that weekend why not throw my hat in for something more. It would make the trip over there worthwhile probably. I have never fished the lake before though so maybe I will come explore it this summer with my kids.

It is a two day tournament and you weigh in your five biggest fish each day. There is also a pot for the biggest pike each day.

F.Y.I  The top three boats all fished something different and anyone of them could have won it. Crankbaits, smelt and flies.

Wanted to fish it again but just HAD to be over at the in-laws in ND to help with their farm auction and finish moving them to Wyoming. Fished it a couple years ago and had a great time. Pretty laid back and a great fish fry on Saturday night. Will just have to tell the rest of the family to buzz off next year.

Hope to see you there. The more the merrier and also the bigger the pots as this tournament is 100% payout.   :)
