Hooked a large snapping turtle by the tail while trolling.   (I ate him, too!)  ;D

Have caught birds a few times, a few seagulls and a tern and pelican in FL.

Also caught a bat once fishing at night for bullheads.  Grabbed the hook on the cast.

Almost caught a duck once.  On accident.  Was out of worms and I was using crumpled up bread as bait.  I was catching a lot too until I didn't crumple the bread up enough and it floated.  Next thing you knew I had a very upset of duck on the end of my line.

Sea Gull on a rebel with three treble hooks, one in the beak one in the wing. That was one unhappy gull but I got it freed up. I had my fillet knife out to lop it's head off, but there were to many people around and some had little kids. That was one lucky flying rat. My father caught two rods in the same week, one in QC and one in NY.
