Whitefish off Peirs
« on: Apr 04, 2011, 09:21 PM »
I have never fished for whitefish before and I just recently started fishing for them off local peirs. All i have used is crawlers or a single egg with a slip bobber. Is there any other ways to fish for them?

Green GULP maggots on 1/32 oz chartreuse jigs work well for me. I bend the hook point slightly upward from the horizontal, so that it catches better in the tougher upper portion of their mouths.
