tying up a  few  clousers for  rock bass  down in the big lake  ...you  need a  good supply  between  getting  hung up on rocks  the  dukes   trash  them from  hitting them so aggressivly

Rg - those look like they were tied on a Mustad 94840... one of the best all around hooks ever...

Actually Jay I think they're a Maruto  109BL 2x # 8.

I've had crazy success with them. Something about the UV coated head gives them a quick diving action. They're great for swinging in the current. I fished the Genny with them last year and crushed the smallmouth. Crappies may take them too

A couple of crayfish patterns and a nymph a friend showed me that's a gill killer.

i love  crawfish patterns  .....  i  been  tying   clousers  to  get  down  to  get the  rockys   but  i  been losing  my  far  share ...... i see  the  river  is  starting  to  drop  ...when  it  gets  fishable  i know  a  great  place  the   crappies   gills  and   green  trout  will  be  stacked  ...i  think  we  need a  kp rg  trapp  flyfishing mission

Oh, yeah - the gurgle-pop!!!  Nice looking fly MBrown.  I tie a less glamorous looking version for gills & they're going to get a taste today.  Not far away from you MBrown - the booming metropolis of Cold Brook.

Cando panfish beware! I need to find a stronger hook though. Used an Umpqua streamer size 10 i picked up from bass pro and I think it may be a little weak.
