Finally got out on the boat this morning. First time out since my surgery in July. Canal came up almost a foot in the last 2 days. Tossed a lot of flies  with marginal results.

Got a few like this one.

( no bass were harmed in the taking of that picture  :-\)

#6 Red Wiggler worked the best  ;D

Caught a variety pack of perch, gills, white perch (aka; cat food) and bass. Felt good to motor along the canal again.

Yeah, it was good to kick the old boat into gear. I'm looking forward to a fun fall fishing season. Had a great growing season Boon. Still going with a second season crop.

Have a great time.

I checked the Genesee at Portageville on USGS today. Went up near 4' in the last 24 hours. That's a lot of rain all at once.

Now that the 80 hour weeks have passed, looks like getting extra sleep is out of the question, see I left off back in June, got a few pages to catch up on. that and a long honey-do list.  Have to decide which way to run next.

Good to see you got in some boat time Bob.  Still doing the Lowe's gig ?
