RG I can’t wait to see that bug after you’ve tied it. Everyone here is so talented.

I’ll get to that bug …again…..tried several times this summer. Decided that I just can’t concentrate during the summer when I’ve got such a  long “to do list” . Time is on my side!

( think that’s an old song)
If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

I hear you. I've been unusually busy all summer and have only fished a handful of times. No tying.

I did get in a trip to Ireland. Stopped by some fly shops over there and wet flies are big, they use them in many of the lakes (lough) for trout. I bought these to try on some rivers at home. Cool ties.

Those wets would be great for swinging at night.

Wet a line today as a matter of fact👍
Played golf this morning till the rain started, came home, grabbed a pole and some gulp minnows and caught  bunch of bluegills.

Very relaxing day.

Man surprised not to see any poppers or streamers for predators. Not ties many poppers this year but have 2 huge plastic fly boxes filled. Usually fish some private ponds from the yak.
Been wrapping some ice fishing poles.

Just waiting on the fall runs now.
Internet heros give it a rest!

Started at the bench again this morning, probably should have started with something bigger as it's been a while, all thumbs.

Bartman, I'm still a newbe so please forgive me- what do you fish for with such tiny flies?

Sorry 62, I was away on a fishing trip and just saw your post. Trout will eat very small insects, especially when they hatch in great numbers. At times it's much more efficient for them to eat many small bugs instead of the occasional large one.

Also, I leaned from using an underwater camera while ice fishing that panfish will ignore all but the smallest of jigs, flies at times.

Started tying Peridgons. Never used them but I'm always willing to try new things. They are supposed to sink fast so I'm going to work on some different colors and give them a go.  They also will end up in my ice fishing box. Anybody ever use these? Any good patterns for the northeast?

Bart those are perfect.  I like to use them in the spring or in deeper faster runs.  Pairing those with a more natural offering on the dropper.

If you guys want a challenge, look up harvey pusher, tie me a few!  (I need them for night trout but they dont seem to be available).

Are you guys fishing that on a Euro setup?

I’ve seen those jig nymphs for a couple years now but always thought they were mostly just for Euro nymphing
