For the 6th straight October, I spent a long weekend on the coast with my sons and their best friends for our annual ďMan Weekend.Ē  First two days the wind blew hard but we were able to find some albies and school bass in the salt ponds. On Saturday, the winds died off and we were able to get out on the sound and quickly caught enough tog and black sea bass for a fish dinner.  Then we cruised the coast for blitzing fish and found the mother lode of striped bass for the next 2 days.  Most fish came on surface plugs and it was common for all five of us to be hooked up at the same time. Even better, many schools we came across were feeding on adult bunker, not the tiny stuff. Plenty of big bluefish too.   Another fun weekend with the boys.

Nice trip Bart.  Somewhat jealous as I should have been doing the same.  Silly rocks.  You and the crew crushed them!
