Looking at last years entries will give you a good idea...

I'd like to get a nice pike in the 35-40 inch range....but wishin' is one thing and actually doing is another...

Walleyes had better be in the 30 inch range as long as Grump is around...

Big Red's gonna be bringing in some big gills and bass..and knowing him he'll have some tourney winners for sure...he had at least 3 1st place fish last year...

My targeted species is gonna be pike..and some walleyes...

No matter what size the fish are that win, it's gonna be a good tourney and the fish pics will be plentiful, from all over North America......Esox

I realistically could sumbit a rainbow in the 33 to 36 inch range and i should about guarentee one over 30, i won't cuz it's fishing but if i don't i'll be shocked and that's not trolling that's fly fishing in rivers, real fishing as i call it . For the anything category i plan on submitting some grayling in the 18 to22 inch range

quite board today..hmmm..

im gonna post anything i catch of size..the trout catagory would be intresting if it took place earlier..but summer in the great lakes region means trolling..and i hate trolling for trout...hopefully my trip up to the st.maries is well timed...at any rate i plan on posting any brown over 25.

i bet a musky will take the anything category, with a carp or cat. something in there 34"+. Unless someone takes advantage of it and gets a sturgeon

Your probably right but in terms of rareness  a 22 inch grayling is much more impressive than to me than a 45 inch musky. There are very few places in north america where it's possible and most are in canada or alaska. I just hope for the anything category the judges take every fish on a case by case basis instead of wowing over just the biggest species.

thats not how its gonna work...wich sucks..i was really hoping the trout catagory would be stream resident..because the lake runs are bigger then pretty much anything anywhere....im not really sure how thats gonna work anyways..because a steelheads migratory..and the rules say non migratory for the n ething..but not trout..im a little bit confused there..but oh well..ill be posting my 4 lbs stream residents despite the fact.

kodiak i agree with you definetly, it is much more impressive. I know even the largest carp i can pull out, nearly a state record for us, would not compare to the musky. In my opinion a graying that sive is more impressive. unfortunatly they do go by length normally.

Im not too concerned about winning anything at all, if I do all for the better, but hey its a free tournament and Im just out for the fun of it and the good taste of the fish.   Ill be entering every catagory I can that I catch a fish for.     I figure trout is a sinch, nothing big but Ill get an entry, might be able to find a pretty good bass, a smallie maybe 20 + inches, if I get my canoe down here or use of a boat I have a chance at a pretty good musky for the anything, and maybe some catfish too.     Maybe a inland (non-migratory) striper or hybrid, that stay in lakes all year round too I dunno.
Who knows a lot of it is left to chance and luck.

I'm going to say NY takes the anything category with a very large plastic bag.
Or perhaps a truck tire.
