I haven’t been able to do any scouting, so it’s a day of discovery for me, part of me wants there to be safe ice, but then I want to throw a few casts.

I Couldn't wait til the opener; fished a year-round river today (first time fishing all year), hooked a brown trout far out on the spin rod, had it on for 15 seconds or so and lost it in some rapids  :cursing: :cursing:  it bit very lightly probably why it came unbuttoned.  Still good to be out.  Cannot wait for Sunday.
