Just checked Northville. Gate is still closed and no dock. The campsite was still closed yesterday. Didn't go down there today...h2l

Thanks H2L.

Anyone know what “normal” lake levels are for spring? I know it varies greatly but was hoping there was a baseline by which I could judge boat ramp conditions by. I’ll try and look at some historical data in the meantime.

Right now it’s on a slow drop to 768’...

Try www.hrbrrd.com/   Check water levels
Should be able to go to Sacandaga and see current level plus target level and history of lake levels....h2l

Lake level appears to be climbing again.

..A buddy at work told me he would get out when it “warms up and dries out a bit”..I told him that at this rate he can put his gear away until July  ::)

It has come up about a foot and a half in the last 5 days. Another foot or so it will be at spillway over the dam. It has been a wet spring. At least this years spawn won't be left high and dry before they hatch....h2l

This is what the launch at the campsite looked like at 1pm.
No dock in yet at Northville. Not sure about other launches.
Good luck if you get out....h2l

No clue on Broadalbin but I launched at Day today, no issues.

Surface Water temp hovered around 50, saw it as high as 53 by the time we left. Down temp About the same ~50 degrees down to 20’. Couldn’t find the eyes really. Lost one and netted a short. Think they are still down in the main basin. No trout either. Kinda a rough day but the weather made up for it. White caps kicked up at 3.

My cousin took a ride out of the campsite this pm, said he saw temps in the mid 50's. I don't think he fished. I saw lots of people putting in docks today. That means the ZOO is at the gates. Eyes, thanks for the report, it was a good day to be out there....h2l

The dock at Broadalbin is underwater, I had boots and was going to try it but there was no place to tie off to, then the sky opened up. Called it a day at 6; 30 AM.

Rondog, too bad you couldn't get onto the lake. Lake came up another 2 inches overnight. They still haven't got the dock in at Northville. Pretty sure they will be in for next weekend, they wouldn't want to upset the weekend crowd. Who cares about the fishermen/women that want to use it? I may get the boat out of the garage this week. Hope you had a good winter, will see you on the water....h2l

As of this PM, the dock is in at Northville launch, just in time for the weekend warriors...h2l
