Walleye
« on: May 17, 2022, 06:59 AM »
I finally paused long enough from chasing coho to pursue my second favorite springtime fish. Tried a lake I've only fished once before (with one small pike to show for it). Reports of decent walleye though so I wanted to give it a good go. Paid off as I landed 2 and lost another. Also caught a couple crappie and a 10.5" redear. Anyone else chasing Walter this spring?

Tried to jump the string on the Maumee. Went in early march.  Nice drive, no fish.  Was pretty much
tied up in April so I missed the major run. I will probably drag some cranks in Union and Delaware
counties in the next few weeks.

fish on,

Caught 3 nice ones yesterday out of the wabash. Lost a couple others. First time ive chased em this year..caught them wading underneath a bridge on 3 inch twister tail with a 1/8  head. 2 were 20 inches and had one hog close to 26. Been 4 or 5 years since ive hauled one that size out of there.
