Does anyone know of a place in the Connecticut River valley that sells boneless shad fillets or roe? I've heard that shad shacks used to be a thing in CT, but that they have disappeared.

There was a place down in Hamden I think not sure. But it follows the river it’s down where the ferry launch is. It’s been a few years since I’ve been down that way. They sold roe, fillets, and smoked fillets
