It was a gloomy Mother's Day afternoon - - cloudy, sprinkling, 42 degrees - - but pretty good for fishing.
I fished from 1 to 2 PM on the North Hoosic in North Adams, by the Natural Marble Bridge State Park and below the Eclipse Mill dam.
Nothing by the Park, but I did land a 14" rainbow below the Eclipse Mill dam, about half way down the 100 yard run from the dam to the start of the flood control chute.
I had a couple crawlers left, so I drove to Cheshire and fished below the Cheshire Harbor dam, where (after another 15 minutes of fishing) I reeled in an 11" rainbow on my last crawler.
Now on to watch the Bruins versus the Hurricanes.
